October was a busy month in the Hudson Household. This last weekend of the month was our only weekend spent at home and it was the perfect combination of productive and relaxing. We cleaned and rearranged Dan’s study, finished and hung our home-made roman shades and I somehow managed to go running, make it to yoga and enjoy a lazy brunch at home!
I even started my weekend off on the right foot with a Friday evening celebrating my beautiful friend Yllena’s birthday! We all met at my house for a quick cocktail before embarking on a night of celebration.
I knew we would be pressed for time and that I wanted something seasonal for the occasion so I whipped up this simple little drink.
For this simple and delicious cocktail you will need:
- 2 oz of your favorite bourbon
- 4 oz of apple cider
- dash of rosemary simple syrup
- sprig of rosemary to garnish
Put your cider, bourbon and dash of rosemary simple syrup in an old fashioned glass and give it a couple of stirs. Add a few cubes of ice and your rosemary garnish, serve and enjoy!
The nice thing about this cocktail is that it is simply one part bourbon for every two parts cider so, it will be easy to make a large batch. I am looking forward to mixing this drink tonight and toasting a farewell to October with my book club. Till next year, beautiful month!
*Shout out to the beautiful birthday girl/hand model for her perfect fall mani and sweater combo!
