This is my absolute favorite time of the year! Holiday party invites are flooding in, and everything is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. We won’t be hosting our own Christmas party this year at the Hudson Residence, but we will have friends and family in and out for some merrymaking over the next few weeks. Daniel and I make an effort to keep a well stocked bar year round, but this time of year calls for some seasonal specials.
Nothing says “festive” like a champagne cocktail, and finding a way to include pomegranate into your holiday arsenal is always well received. For this holiday drink, all you need to keep in stock are pomegranate seeds, a small bottle of POM juice and, of course, a chilled bottle of champagne ready to pop. You never know when there will be cause for celebration, so it’s good to get in the habit of always having one in the fridge!
This sparkling drink couldn’t be more perfect for a busy occasion. The simplicity allows you to focus on your guests while effortlessly crafting this elegant cocktail.
You will need:
- Chilled champagne
- POM juice (You need so little that the small size typically lasts me the whole holiday season)
- Pomegranate seeds (I get mine at Trader Joes)
Just drop a teaspoon of seeds into the bottom of the glass and fill with champagne. All you need is a dash of the juice to add color and a little kick.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend and get the chance to enjoy a festive cocktail or two.
